About the Charities
Riding over 450km from the west to east coast of beautiful Sri Lanka, riders will take on tricky terrain and weather conditions for ‘Pedalling For Pubs 2023’ to raise money and awareness for the Licensed Trade Charity & Only A Pavement Away.
Our Mission is “to equip people to be self-reliant and achieve their personal best”.
The Licensed Trade Charity helps pubs, bar, brewery, wines and spirits people when you are in need of help. We support hundreds of people facing a crisis with practical, emotional and financial support each year.
The aim is to act as an effective conduit between forward-thinking hospitality employers and charities working with people facing homelessness, who struggle to get into work, and overcome hurdles by finding jobs within the hospitality, pub and restaurant industry. Our industry is an exciting one, built on people.
