Labour Training Masterclasses

Labour Excellence Programme

The Labour Excellence Programme provides the rota writer & management teams with all the key skills and habits that are needed to control labour effectively. The programme starts with forecasting looking at the internal and external factors that effect how much we take. On session two we focus on planning to the demand of the business; looking at the true cost of opening the doors, shifts start times and flexing on shift, as well as looking at why its important to have the right people doing the right things and how to deploy our salary cost effectively. In the the final session we focus on the cost of admin to the business and how we can utilise down time to get jobs done. In between the sessions smart objectives will be set allowing you to monitor the progression being made.

Rota planners are provided with the knowledge and skills on sales forecasting. Create a map on ‘my world’ to understand external sales influence. Evidence shows that having an effective forecast allows you to deploy your team effectively and provides a 1% reduction in labour %.
This workshop explores the benefits of planning to the needs and demand of the business. Exploring the true cost to opening the doors and reacting to the day by flexing. Rota writers will be encouraged to challenge their norm.

A further workshop focuses on having the aces in places and deploying the salary costs effectively. No shift is a weak shift as management have a clear understanding of the demands of the business. Sales improve, team engagement and motivation improved along with the business reputation.

Business are equipped with how to manage tasks resulting in less tasks being rotad and more tasks are completed during slack time. Driving employee engagement, motivation and reducing admin and prep associated labour costs. Most business can save at least £200 a week.

Maximising Labour Programme

The Maximising Labour Programme provides the key people running the shifts with all the key skills and habits that are needed to control labour effectively during the shift. The programme starts with engineering efficiencies looking at the how you can reduce labour wastage. On session two we focus on running motivating shift briefings. Motivated and well-informed shifts are happier. The on the final session we look at how to drive sales on shift through a well motivated team and thought out shift incentives. In between the sessions smart objectives will be set allowing you to monitor the progression being made.

This masterclass explores the areas in the business where efficiencies can be improved to reduce labour wastage and ensure everyone is working efficiency to achieve the best possible service. During the course we explore how to get the team involved to keep improving.
Shift leaders are given to skills to run motivating shift briefings, motivated and well-informed shifts are happier. This is a great workshop to fit into your existing leadership and management programmes, it also complements the use of our shift success tool very well.

Once your achieving your labour ratio this workshop takes it one step further. Rota planners and Shift leaders are able to implement shift incentives to drive sales on shift. Improving team engagement and motivation and driving sales and business reputation improvements. This is a great workshop to fit into your existing leadership and management programmes.

Managing Labour Programme

The Managing Labour Programme provides operation teams, area managers or managers with the key skills and habits needed to empower the rota writer for effective scheduling. This programme is a one-day group workshop with a follow up one to one online coaching session.

Delegates regain control by recognising how to empower the rota planner, resulting in empowered people who become better decision makers, a transferable skill to use in many situations.
